Atlanta's southpaw Glendon Rusch fell victim to a career ending injury in a game against Houston on Monday. He complained about pain after throwing a pitch to Lance Berkman, then suddenly collapsed. After being taken to a local hospital, Rusch was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Torn Ligament Elbow. In 4 starts this year Glendon struck out 18 batters in 24.1 innings of work. His ERA is 1.48, his record 2-1. His career featured a record of 25-37 with an ERA of 4.98. Baseball will certainly miss this great player.
